The sun was shining, joy was in the air (as it was our first activity). But, the wetsuits were a problem however, we didn’t let that get in our way, finally we were off we started to get on at our knee depth (so we would not break the fin) we started on our knees until we got deeper so if we fell of we would not hit the mud. A bit after that he taught us how to turn and backwards paddle, the turning was hard but i got it in the end. As we got deeper some of us started to stand up me and Luke were the first and i promised him that if he fell in i would jump in, so i did because he “accidentally” fell in.After a bit we all smelt of sea and were soaking and talking about showers, the hardest bit was once you fell in your eyes were stinging (the wind was the only way to make them stop stinging) and it was hard to get back on the board.
When it was nearly our lesson over we all went to sore and our instructors( ceri and allan) told us to flip our boards over and two people got on and tried to bobble them off so if someone didn’t fall of standing up they got soaking wet then (I went up against Teagan and we both jumped off at the same time so we would both win).My favorite bit over all was jumping off because it was so fun and we all got a warm shower at the end.But it was a big struggle to get the wet suit off at the end, after we got the suit off we dunked them off in a bucked of water.
